The Christmas project

TEAM:

Christmas is coming! Let's celebrate it by making a Christmas tree or some other Christmas work of your liking. Decide together as a group.

1.Flashing lights are a characteristic of Christmas projects. Do you want your work to have lights? If so, how can you make them flash? Can your construction "play" Christmas music or songs or spin?

What materials and devices will you need? Discuss your ideas with your team and write or draw your plan here...

2.Build your project with the materials and tools that you will find in the lab. Make photos of it during the process and save selected photos into your group folder.

3.Make your project interact with the lighting of the room, e.g. make it flash and play music when the lighting of the room changes.

Tip 1: Connect a light sensor (photoresist) to the Arduinoboard properly, so that you can read analogue light values.
Tip 2: Connect Arduino's digital pins with a speaker and multicolored lights.
Tip 3: Open Snap!4Arduino to program your tree so that the lights flash when the light sensor reads specific light values.

4.Try to do the same by using a motion sensor instead of a light sensor.

5.Create the same project virtually, on the Snap4Arduino screen and make it flash and play music like the actual construction!

Get prepared to present your current work (to the rest of the teams. Do not forget to write down in your calendar!

Work well and Happy Christmas!
